The Hygge Collection | Part One

In a world of so much noise, we are all longing to find a breath … a place of stillness and hope. A sunrise peeking out behind the tree, the trickle of a creek, barefoot feet running through the grass, owls, and crickets in the distance. Rooted in the stillness of nature, warm Earthy tones, and peace, the first drop of our Hygge collection represents the comfort we all need this season. The ease of the fabrics is dreamy soft, and equally beautiful. Dressing your littles in these clothes will be like wrapping them up in their favorite blanket. 

To create this collection, Sandra drew on feelings of stillness and calm. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word, hygge, (pronounced \HEW-guh\) as a quality of coziness that makes a person feel comfortable while invoking an inner sense of contentment or well-being. “Scenes in which hygge is evident include two people warmly snuggling by a roaring fire on a cold winter’s night while sipping hot cocoa, or an intimate gathering of friends for a candle-lit dinner, conversation, and light entertainment. A night where hygge is evident, you’d likely see the flickering light from a fire and candles. Some believe hygge offers relief from the “endlessly dark Nordic winters, during which people found comfort and relaxation watching the fire’s flickering dance.”
